Don't panic it's easy!

Making your own Koochikoo Website could not be simpler. We have done everything we can to ensure the process is as straightforward as possible. Before you start, you need to make sure you have the following ready:

1. Three photographs. You will need three images to upload to your new site. These will need to have been saved in JPG format. To learn more, see below.
2. Your chosen theme. When you create your website, you will be asked to select a theme.

That’s all you need to get going!

A few words about your photos

As you will be required to upload three photos on to your site, you will need to have saved them on to your computer before you click on the Buy a Website button (You can do this by digital camera, scanner or from a disk). Make sure they’re the right way up!

To make your purchase quick and easy, we start you off with three photos. You can then add others at your leisure through the Admin section of your site. When you purchase your Koochikoo Website you are allocated 50 photo credits, but you can add more at any time.

When it comes to uploading your photos you can either follow our automatic re-size procedure or, if you are confident about your computer skills, you can re-size your pictures manually.

So, if you wish to crop, re-size or compress your image, do this first. The finished dimensions of your photo should be no more than width 450 pixels x height 338 pixels.

If you want to keep things simple, the program will re-size your pictures automatically, though they will take a little longer to upload – so be patient!

Whichever option you choose, you then just follow this simple procedure:

1. Save your photos on to your computer in a JPG format. (They must be the right way up!)
2. When either creating a site or uploading extra photos using the Admin section, click on the BROWSE/CHOOSE FILE button when the program prompts you, find the photo on your computer and select it (see the picture below).
3. Click on the UPLOAD PHOTO button and a window will appear telling you that the image is uploading.
4. The picture should now appear on your website.

To access the Admin page just type in your user name (your e-mail address) and your password (this password should be different from your password for visitors) and you’re there. Now you can add as many pictures as you wish. Don’t forget to mark all those important milestones in your baby’s life. There’s plenty of room to record the first tooth, the favourite foods or favourite song and when your child grows you can scan in all their drawings and paintings as well.
