What does a Koochikoo site include?

You get to choose from a variety of funky themes.

Homepage: Your selected photo will appear accompanied by your welcome message.

About Me: This is where you provide all the vital statistics – weight, time of birth,

Gallery: All your photos will be displayed here. They will appear as small photos (thumbnails). Click on the thumbnail and they will enlarge. You can arrange your photos in albums (first birthday, holidays etc.) or display them under one general heading. It’s up to you.

Milestones: Here you can provide a running commentary on your child’s progress – from the first smile to the first word – and beyond. Who knows? In years to come you might be recording the first driving lesson, or even first date!

Favourites: Food, toys, books, friends, songs. The choice is yours.

Scrapbook: A space to display all those wonderful drawings and paintings

E-mail me: Friends and family can send messages to you and your baby.

Guestbook: Visitors to your site can tell everyone how great they think it is! These messages are permanently displayed in this section. All visitors can read the guestbook messages.

How do I put photographs on to my site?

No need to post photos and wait seven days before your site is on-line. You upload your own photos in minutes following our easy, step-by-step, instructions.

How do my friends access my website?

You give out your password to the friends and relations of your choice – as many or as few as you like. They then go to the guest login page and type in the child’s name and the password to reach your site. No one else will be able to access it.

Is Koochikoo only for newborns?

No – our cool themes appeal to all ages. Choose your own milestones and favourites – first day at school, hobbies, favourite band, favourite song etc.

How long will it take for my site to appear?

Your site will be on-line as soon as your credit/debit card details have been accepted.

Can I buy a gift voucher for Koochikoo?

Can I password protect my Koochikoo site?

All sites are password protected and you are asked to provide a password before you purchase a site.

Are there any terms and conditions?

Yes - we ask you to read them and tick to confirm you agree to them before purchasing a site.

Which photo is used for my homepage?

Just upload three photos and click the box that says Use for my Home Page – couldn’t be simpler.

How do I share the site with my friends and family?

The Admin section of your site allows you to nominate 10 ‘buddies’. You provide their e-mail addresses so you can notify them when the site goes live, and every time you add or change any details. You can also tell any number of people about the site and they can access it via the guest login page as long as they know the child’s name and the password you have given the site. Make sure your password for visitors is different from your Admin password.

What is the maximum number of photos I can upload?

There is no limit – you can upload as many photos as you wish. You are provided with 50 photo credits initially. If you would like to add more than 50 photos to your site, you can do so at any time.

Is there a limit to the size of picture I can add to my site?

The largest picture you can upload is 8 megapixels. This is the equivalent to the largest picture-size achievable from the top-of-the-range digital cameras available on the market at the moment.

Can I change the text on my home page?

You can change any of the text on your home page as many times as you wish. You could have a different home page picture and text every day if you wanted. You can alter anything on your site using your own Admin page.

Can I change themes if I decide I don’t like the one I’ve chosen?

If you want a change it’s easy – just go to your Admin page and select a new theme.

What if some of my friends and family don’t have a computer?

You can print out your Koochikoo pages and send them by snail mail.

Can I upload more than 50 photos?

You can have as many photos as you wish. After you’ve used your first 50 photo credits you can simply add to your photo gallery by adding further credits.

Is my site safe if I have chosen my own password?

We suggest you don’t choose something obvious like your baby’s name for your password. As long as you pick a word that no-one is likely to guess, your site should be perfectly secure. We recommend you use different passwords for your visitors and your Admin section.

Why do I need a separate log-in and password to access my site?

This is so that visitors to your site will not have access to the Admin section and will not be able to interfere with the contents. Having a log-in and password system ensures security and control of your details.

How do I add more photos after I have used my first 50 credits?

You add more photos very simply via the Admin section of the site accessed using your e-mail address and Admin password.

How often can I make changes to my site?

As often as you wish – at any time of the day or night from any computer.

Can I post my photos to you?

No, you don’t need to. If you don’t have a digital camera, you can scan your prints in or when your photos are developed have your prints put onto a cd (most photo developers provide this service) and upload your photos yourself instantly.

I’ve updated changes but they haven’t appeared on my site.

Changes should appear immediately. Make sure that you click on Submit at the end of each page you have altered. If you don’t do this, your changes are not recorded. You may need to refresh your browser to view your new pages. After making your changes in your admin section you need to close your theme when you’ve finished the changes and then re-open it before the changes can be seen. If you’re still having problems please e-mail us and we’ll help you out.

Are Koochikoo Websites just for children?

They probably appeal mostly to children but if you haven’t got children you could make a site for your pet – it would be interesting to see the artwork in the scrapbook section!

Is my site safe from strangers?

Our special password-protection system is designed to protect your site. Make sure your password is something that can’t be guessed easily (don’t use your child’s name as the password). We also ask you to use a different password for your visitors and for your Admin section.

Are my log-in details secure?

As long as you don’t share them with anyone else, your log-in details are totally secure.

I’ve forgotten my password: what should I do?

Just drop us an e-mail and we’ll let you know. We will need to ask you some security questions to ensure that we are giving the details to the right person.

Can I change my user password?

Yes, at any time via the Admin section.
